@BrookeJ06689989@NCRCisLIT I also enjoyed the STEM night, kids love engaging in challenging work. I think it would be a great idea for indoor recess during these long winters in ND. #ncrcchat
@NCRCisLIT A4: I also loved the STEM learning night. I love getting my hands on things and testing them out. I borrowed some STEM kits from a friend and I hope to get more someday for my students to use. #ncrcchat
@katieburckhard@NCRCisLIT I am definitely jotting this book down. Sounds like a good read on such a sad syndrome many families and loved ones are faced with. #ncrcchat
@NCRCisLIT A3: 100 Dresses is a great read aloud about bullying for students. I also love How I Act and How I Feel at the beginning of the year for setting expectations. For myself I just finished The Great Alone and am starting The Home for Unwanted Girls for book club. #ncrcchat
@kunhjem1@NCRCisLIT I love that you still use some picture books in 6th grade if they are relevant. I also like using books to challenge their thinking while listening to a book aloud. #ncrcchat
@NCRCisLIT A2: My first read aloud is about a girl who gets bullied. Next, I read picture books about different disabilities they may see around our school. I also choose them based on the content we are reading and connecting to. I also use student choice. #ncrcchat
@ctraeger10@NCRCisLIT @heartmisawa I also agree with this statement. Morning meetings are HUGE, they start each and every day off in the right way! #ncrcchat
@LeAnn64886688@NCRCisLIT I agree, sometimes it seems simple for us but we always need to remember that when its different that bothers some kids. #ncrcchat
@NCRCisLIT A1: I feel I always encourage students to take risks. I make mistakes and I openly admit to making them and show them that we are not always right and thats okay! #ncrcchat
@_carliewilson@NCRCisLIT Hearing that kids love to come to school is the best. I agree, that those differences big or small are something to celebrate as an educator. #ncrcchat
@NCRCisLIT A4: I define success as an educator by providing a classroom that students love to come and learn in. When students love to come to school and learn it makes me love my job.
@Melissa82466090@NCRCisLIT I cannot agree with this more. Time to collaborate with all of the awesome educators in our district and surrounding areas. #ncrcchat
