Apologies for inactivity.... Timberland Cricket Club Folded before the season started,due to various reasons.

It’s such a loss for the village of Timberland but like many other local village cricket teams the gates of the ground are now closed for the foreseeable....

After a comitee meeting a few weeks ago it was decided that timberland cricket club should withdraw from the SLB Division 1 league this season,however we will still be playing friendlies and hope to be back in the league next season.

We have arranged an emergency general meeting on Tuesday 2nd April at the Penny Farthing @ 19:30 to determine where the club will be going and what players we have etc.

We would really appreciate it if you could attend this meeting for the clubs sake.

@AndyCla61141041 Totally agree with you we struggle as we’re right in the middle of 2 big local teams and we’re the small village club and it’s in a remote place too so we just cannot attract many players like the big teams around the area.

@AndyCla61141041 That’s literally what we have do we finished second from bottom meaning we were going down and we wanted to go down to rebuild but the league stitched us up therefore we have had to stay up and now we have lost players as it’s a hard league

@AndyCla61141041 Ours is to do with the league keeping us up when we should of gone down and players leaving to go to bigger clubs in the area and players just stopping playing and we are located in a remote area so we are struggling to find players. RP
