I 100% agree on unsportsmanlike conduct, but your argument doesn't make sense. UT is in the SEC with deep south teams, so you can’t just say refs were “likely & righteously” in fear of gun safety because “everyone in TX carries guns.” Most SEC states support open carry anyway. Plus, it's illegal to bring guns into that university’s stadium unless you’re police/security staff.

While I’m keenly aware that whether it’s legal or not might not stop everyone, it's not a free for all the way you’re suggesting.
