A heart-breaking moment saved in an SS picture of deportations of Hungarian Jews at Auschwitz II-Birkenau. It was taken 79 years ago, most likely in late May 1944.

A little child found a dandelion in the grass and is handing it or showing it to an older boy. All the people in this picture were waiting to be killed in gas chamber. They were murdered some time later.

One of the first mentions of social mobility in the session on ESG at #CreditSummit23. Important that we think about the role credit has for hard working families.

Demand for debt advice is rising, say @TheFCA. Some good work on some of the worst actors that prey on demand. But we still look at this as if it was all about FS - with funding from lenders. We seem to be missing out utility, local gov and many other growing areas of debt.

Interesting session with Tim Rooney at #CreditSummit23 that is touching upon credit scores. I would agree that credit information doesn’t work well for non-prime borrowers. One of the many problems with our flawed credit market.

Interesting to hear about problem of illegal lending being discussed on the main stage at #creditsummit23. Not as surprising that no answers from mainstream credit. More credit unions was the only proposal. Part or the solution but not the full answer.
