@OfficialLoganK@Google Any target date of when we can begin testing 10mm token limit version?
Large token limit allows a non-coder like myself to build useful tools now versus learning how to put together a RAG system from ground-0
Testing 1.5 Pro for Legal applications and I ran through 1mm quick.
Wtf is John-Bur?
A Korean founder told me that he was printing and framing my tweets to give to other startups
I thought that was pretty cool, but I was confused because he added "John-Bur" at the bottom and I had no idea what that meant lol
His answer was pretty interesting, it turns out that John Bur in Korean is “존벗”
And “존벗” is a shortened way of saying “fucking endure!”
I thought that was hilarious because he was a super nice and timid guy and this poster was essentially swearing at you to not give up
It was then I realized he concisely summarized the "essence" of all my MRR updates with those two words
Things were very shitty for us for a long time, but we just fucking endured and eventually we found a way to make it work
I don’t consider myself especially smart or super well-connected, but the one thing I excelled at was just fucking enduring
When he told me the reasoning behind the meaning of John-Bur, I knew I had to meet up with him and hangout
It was fun meeting this nice founder and I enjoyed the impromptu Korean lesson
Success takes time, John-Bur my friends :)
Gemini 1.5 is a much bigger deal than Sora.
1. The 10M context window fundamentally changes how we think about RAG. Not just large, but also effective.
2. Pro-1.5 Beats Ultra-1.0. There’s a fundamental modeling improvement.
3. It’s in production, you can use it today.
I too like fancy creative videos, but think that the practical benefits of Gemini-1.5 are way higher.
