As we were walking in the tunnel to votes yesterday, a House Dem told me it’s not monetizing debt if the Fed prints money and loans it to Treasury.

I asked “OK, what is monetizing debt?”

He said if Treasury minted a trillion dollar coin, now that would be monetizing debt.🤦‍♂️
