I could see $META buying $SNAP. Recently, meta announced that they are looking to invest heavily in AI and Advertising . Snapchat has pivoted to both of those. I am 24 , so i have been using Snapchat for a while, as it appeals to a younger audience . Recently, I have been getting advertisements personally sent to me everyday, from all kinds of various companies. This is a clever way to advertising, as there’s no way to get rid of your notifications unless you open the snap and watch the ad, or pay for a premium service. Also, the app is charging for video and photo storage. I have thousands of snaps dating back to when the app was created. But now they want me to pay an extra added monthly fee in order to have enough storage for these. Although this is an annoyance, these are smart ways to monetize a platform that was on the decline and free for the most part. Lastly, Snap is releasing augmented reality glasses this fall , advertising at $2195. This seems out of snaps usual field of play, but it had me thinking; who else is heavily focused on Virtual reality and eyewear? Meta of course . Zuckerberg tried to acquire Snapchat in 2013 for $3 billion, but CEO Spiegel was not entertaining it. Now, with Snapchat having been on the decline over the last couple years, and meta having been in a strong position, this makes sense for both sides. Just my two cents , I’ll definitely be keeping $snap on watch ���🤝
