#清正, also known as $KIYOMASA, has been getting a lot of attention lately. Quite a few people have asked me about this play, so let's break it down
+ What is the narrative behind $KIYOMASA?
The token is inspired by Kiyomasa, a real Western gorilla living at Higashiyama Zoo & Botanical Garden in Japan
What's interesting is that Kiyomasa is the son of Shabani, the most famous gorilla in Japan, often referred to as the "handsome gorilla"
For years, Kiyomasa was mostly known as "Shabani's son"
Recently, however, he started going viral on his own through videos showing surprisingly human-like reactions :
- Deeply contemplating
- Eating tomatoes
- Looking emotional after arguing with his mate
These clips have accumulated millions of views across Japanese and international social media
+ This is a CTO project
The original developer abandoned the token
The first CTO team also disappeared
After that, the community , including several Japanese members , took over the project twice during April 2026 and has been rebuilding it ever since
The positive side is that the community is still active
However, it's important to remember that this is still a pure CTO memecoin
+ What I don't like about the project
The market has changed significantly
Most strong projects today usually have some form of value-accrual mechanism such as :
- Burn mechanisms
- Buybacks
- Revenue sharing
- Fee donations
- Real utility
At the moment, $KIYOMASA is still just a pure meme coin
There are no notable supporting mechanisms behind it
That's one of the main reasons I'm not particularly bullish on it right now
+ So why is it pumping?
The main reason is the news catalyst
A video of the real Kiyomasa sitting and appearing to be "deep in thought" after an argument with his mate has gone globally viral
The clip is only around 62 seconds long, but it has already been covered by major media outlets including
- RT
- Indian Express
- NDTV
- Economic Times
Within just 1-2 days, the video accumulated tens of millions of views
This is clearly the biggest catalyst behind the recent price action
+ Attention and market interest
From what I've seen, several notable KOLs have started paying attention to the project, including :
- @Kkashi_yt
- @100xgemfinder
- @Degen_hardy
The token has also been listed on Gate Alpha, which is another positive sign
That said, overall attention is still relatively limited compared to larger meme narratives
+ My personal view
Based on my estimates, current bundle concentration is around 65%
For a CTO project, that's not particularly unusual
What matters more is whether the project can continue attracting attention and whether the team can deliver meaningful updates going forward
Right now, I see this as a memecoin driven primarily by news and viral momentum rather than long-term fundamentals
If you're interested in entering, I'd personally prefer waiting for a pullback
The area I'd be watching is around the 500K–600K range for a better risk/reward setup
The final support zone sits around 300K
If that level breaks, I'd cut the position
For this project to go much further, I think the team will eventually need to introduce stronger mechanisms or a clearer long-term direction rather than relying solely on the meme and viral news cycle
