“The report on children and armed conflict… verified more cases of war crimes against children in the occupied territories and Israel than anywhere else, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Myanmar, Somalia, Nigeria and Sudan.”https://t.co/kMVUrSilFW
The situation on the ground in the West Bank is hurtling closer toward one of de jure annexation across more and more land, including land in Areas A and B.
Today is Naksa Day.
It commemorates Israel's expulsion of 300,000 Palestinians & 130,000 Syrians from their homes in 1967.

Another blocked road in the north of the West Bank, targeting Palestinian farmers in Qabalan, south of Nablus, to prevent them from reaching their agricultural lands and crops.
🪖 A study published in One Earth by researchers at Queen Mary University of London and Lancaster University calls for mandatory reporting of military emissions under the UN climate framework, noting that countries are currently not required to disclose the carbon footprint of warfare.
When you turn on the tap today, remember that for most people in #Gaza, clean running water is no longer a part of daily life.
After more than two and a half years of relentless destruction of Gaza’s water and sanitation infrastructure, families are forced to walk long distances carrying heavy containers of water, simply to meet their most basic daily needs.
On how the Palestinian context is buried in misleading reporting
"It's not about giving a history lesson every time you write an article," says @AssalRad.
It's about ensuring historical context of the Palestinian Nakba is already known and understood, so that when new violations, atrocities, and today genocide occur, people are aware of how we got here.

More than 10 Israeli drone strikes on different areas in Nabatieh region since morning, including outskirts of Ragheb Hareb hospital between Toul and Doweir, Ebba, Habboush, Harouf.
Massive explosion in Hujair area was seen and felt from 15 km away. Mostly a demolition or a first time use of a heavier type of bombs (2 t at least).
Airstrikes have repeatedly bombed residential areas in Qsaybeh and Jebchit and other nearby villages.
Artillery shelling on Jebchit did not stop since yesterday.

⭕️ Rights Group: May Deadliest Month of 2026 in Gaza - 119 Killed
The Palestinian Center for Human Rights said Thursday that Israeli forces are carrying out systematic killings of Palestinian civilians across Gaza.
▪️May 2026 toll included 119 killed including 19 children and 10 women, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.
▪️Women, children, and the elderly accounted for roughly 30% of May’s victims, “reflecting the widening of the targeting circle of civilians.”
▪️The Center called on the international community to “act urgently to stop the targeting of civilians, hold those responsible accountable, and provide protection to the civilian population.”

Asking questions at Senate Estimates about why a year on from an investigation by Choice, which found that 16 out of 20 sunscreens tested didn't meet their SPF claims, 15 are STILL being investigated.
The TGA has put forward some options for reforms, but I'm worried how slowly this is moving.
In the country with the highest skin cancer rates in the world, confidence in sunscreens is vital and we need to rebuild that.

🚨 Jason Galanis stole $60 million from Indigenous tribes, among other crimes.
Trump commuted his sentence allowing him to keep $80 million of stolen funds.
Like I said, every single Muslim elected to congress is treated this way. This man literally saved the lives of Marines in Iraq and they’re still basically calling him a terrorist.
The US deliberately destroyed the world renowned Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, including the Student accommodation. The US + Israel hit 31 Universities in Iran in just 39 days of bombing. These were War Crimes and acts of Barbarism...
Asked whether he considers the situation in Gaza to be a genocide, Andy Burnham — currently a leading contender to succeed Keir Starmer as Labour leader — declined to use the term.
He said there must be a full investigation and accountability process, while expressing concern about what he described as the disproportionate scale of destruction in Gaza.

⛔️Why did you take 2 billion dollars from Saudi Arabia for your private company?
⛔️Jared Kushner: The money I received, I invested in Israel to build ties between the two countries, and to connect businessmen from Saudi Arabia and Israel with each other‼️
What’s happening and why it matters
Jerusalem Palestinians, including Christians, live under a system where Israel controls who gets to officially exist in the city.
Being born in Jerusalem does not automatically make you a resident. Israel must register your birth, and it can refuse. Between 2020 and 2026, one in four Christian births in Jerusalem was denied registration. That child has no legal status in the city they were born in.
If a Palestinian Jerusalemite marries someone from the West Bank or abroad, their spouse cannot simply move in. They must apply for family reunification, and Israel rejects roughly half of those applications. Families are legally separated, sometimes for years, sometimes permanently.
On top of that, over 340 Jerusalem ID cards were revoked in this period. Losing your Jerusalem ID means losing the right to live in your own home. People are deported from the city of their birth, quietly, through paperwork.
And this is before we even talk about the obstacles placed in front of priests, nuns, and clergy trying to get work permits and visas to serve their own churches in Jerusalem.
One more thing that must be said clearly: none of this applies to Jewish residents. A Jewish person coming to Israel from anywhere in the world receives automatic citizenship under the Law of Return. A Christian child born in Jerusalem to a family that has been there for generations can be denied the right to legally exist there. This is not bureaucracy. This is a policy of replacement and apartheid.
This is the oldest Christian community on earth, being slowly removed from the city where Christianity was born, one rejected application at a time.
Apartheid Israel's army is openly training its officials & soldiers in "“Black Hat” techniques to circumvent tech platforms’ rules around cybercrime, cyber warfare, or other malicious activity. Most criminal entity on earth. https://t.co/WUbiH2t6Uz
@EUpalestinians So what are the consequences?! They have been doing this for generations & clearly don’t give a fuck how much you condemn it with no punishment!
