I know you are aware already; I am aware too, and Nigerians will also become aware, by virtue of this tweet: IBD Dende smuggled seven vehicles into the country overnight, just a few hours ago while the rest of us were asleep.

The vehicles came in via Oja-Odan and are currently in Lagos.

Specifically, the smuggled vehicles are three 2024 Toyota landcruisers and four white coaster buses. The coaster buses contain some cartons, the contents of which I don’t know.

So, Nigerians, including me would like to know: what are the contents of the cartons in the white coaster buses brought in by IBD Dende in the early hours of Thursday April 4?

In the unlikely event that you manage to intercept the vehicles, are you simply going to announce their recovery while hoarding the details, or will you for the first time name the rich and powerful patrons behind the illegality?

By the way, the 2024 Toyota land cruisers smuggled in-country overnight by IBD Dende are insanely expensive: $55,950 if it’s a ‘Land Cruiser 1958’, $61,950 if a ‘Land Cruiser’ and $74,950 if a ‘First Edition’.

At the rate of N1,300 to a dollar, it amounts to N72,735,000, N80,535,000 or N97,435,000 respectively.

Let’s pretend that the lowest of the three grades were smuggled in, then we’re talking N72,735,000 times 3 smuggled land cruisers; that’s N218,205,000. Add the prices of the four coaster buses and that's seven vehicles worth over half a billion naira.

Half a billion naira surreptitiously moved into the country overnight, entirely bypassing the country's economy, yet the EFCC is uninterested. EFCC is going after Bobrisky for spraying naira notes!😂
