Today, as part of the @USAIDRwanda-funded DKI activity, we kicked off a five-day training for youth leaders in @HuyeDistrict & @NyagatareDistr to strengthen young leaders' knowledge of critical thinking, human rights, and civic participation.

Ongoing: A play titled “Urunana Rw’Abato N’abakuru Turukomereho” by a youth troupe. It portrays the need for the older generation to listen to young people & give them an opportunity to share their ideas. It also calls for solidarity between the young & old to build the country.

HAPPENING NOW: A joint reflection session between youth & local leaders in @GisagaraDistr discussing the achievements of the @EUinRW funded project - youth engage “Ijwi Ryubaka”. As the project was lauded for its impact, persistent issues affecting youth were also identified.

Delivering her keynote remarks on behalf of @Unity_MemoryRw Dr. @AMuhayisa noted that the consequences of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi had a serve impact on youth and urged them to seek support while contributing towards combating genocide ideology for a shared future.
