“Preserving the truth is particularly important at a time when Genocide denial and revisionism continue to find platforms, especially online. The strongest response to attempts to distort history is a well-preserved, credible and accessible historical record.
Liquid Intelligent Technologies has demonstrated that the private sector has a meaningful role to play in this endeavour. Others should follow suit.
The generation that witnessed the Genocide will not be with us forever. We have a responsibility to ensure that their stories, and the lessons they carry, outlive them.”

“The decision by Liquid Intelligent Technologies to commit Rwf130 million towards digitising Genocide memorials is a commendable demonstration of corporate responsibility that deserves to be emulated by other private sector players.”
“Close to 32 years have passed since the Genocide against the Tutsi. With every passing year, survivors and eyewitnesses grow older, and some pass away, taking with them invaluable firsthand accounts of what transpired.
Unless deliberate efforts are made to document and preserve these testimonies, photographs, records, and other historical materials, future generations risk losing access to critical pieces of their country's history.”

• @LiquidInTechRW has contributed more than Rwf130.8 million to digitising Genocide memorials, preserving historical records, and expanding technology-based education to help safeguard the memory of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
• The contribution, presented on October 20, marked the fifth year of the company’s decade-long $1 million commitment launched in 2022 in partnership with the @Imbuto and the Ministry of National Unity and Civic Engagement (@Unity_MemoryRw). The company has contributed more than Rwf600 million to the initiative so far.
• The partnership uses digital tools to preserve evidence, artefacts and historical records while making reliable information about the Genocide accessible to Rwandans and international visitors.
• MINUBUMWE Minister Jean Damascene Bizimana said the Ntarama Genocide Memorial had been revamped and expanded, while work was underway to modernise the Nyange Genocide Memorial and improve access to documented historical information.
• Plans are also underway to modernise the Kigali Genocide Memorial using digital tools, including support for more than 20 languages and virtual access that would allow people to explore the site remotely.
• Sam Nkusi, Executive Chairman of Liquid Intelligent Technologies Rwanda, said technology could help preserve historical truth, promote responsible citizenship and counter hate speech, particularly among young people.

Today, together with @Unity_MemoryRw , we received a contribution of RWF 130,797,092 from @LiquidInTechRW , as part of our ongoing partnership.
This support will contribute to preserving the memory of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi through initiatives that educate young people about Rwanda’s history, promote unity and fight genocide ideology.
Through #IgihangocyUrungano and the use of modern technology to preserve historical evidence and artifacts at genocide memorial sites, we continue to engage young people in safeguarding Rwanda’s history for future generations.

This morning, Minister @DrDamascene received a symbolic cheque of FRW 130,797,092 from @LiquidInTechRW during a handover ceremony attended by representatives from @MINUBUMWE, @Imbuto, and Liquid Intelligent Technologies.
The contribution will support MINUBUMWE’s mission to preserve the memory of the Genocide against the Tutsi, facilitate intergenerational dialogue, and establish educational galleries across genocide memorials.
One of the key achievements of this partnership is the completion and launch of the educational gallery at the Ntarama Genocide Memorial. The gallery documents the preparation, execution, brutality, and resistance associated with the Genocide against the Tutsi in and around Bugesera.
Another example is the ongoing development of an educational gallery at the Nyange Genocide Memorial in Ngororero District. The memorial commemorates a particularly tragic chapter of the Genocide against the Tutsi, in which Father Athanase Seromba, a Catholic priest, ordered the destruction of a church where more than 2,000 Tutsi had sought refuge, burying them alive.
The Minister thanked @LiquidInTechRW & @Imbuto, emphasizing that this milestone will help teach history, combat denial on social media, preserve testimonies, and empower youth to ensure "Never again".

Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, Chief of Army Staff of the Nigerian Army, and his delegation paid their respects to the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi. They also toured memorial exhibitions to learn more about the history of the Genocide, its impact, and Rwanda's journey of rebuilding.
Today, we had the honor of welcoming #Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu, to the Museum for the Campaign Against Genocide.
Reflecting on the exhibits, he commended the former RPA forces, and the remarkable resilience of the 600 soldiers during #Rwanda's liberation and the historic effort that stopped the Genocide against the Tutsi.
