The entire Book of Revelation is a giant chiasm. 🤯
A chiasm is a literary device where ideas unfold in order (A B C) and then repeat in reverse (C B A), forming an X shaped symmetry that aids memory and draws attention to the central point (C).
The Bible is amazing.
Swap the phones for newspapers and this is a subway photo from 1920.
A sociologist named Erving Goffman described exactly this in 1963. He called it civil inattention: the learned habit of acknowledging that a stranger exists, then pulling your attention back so you don't intrude on them. A quick glance, then you look away. In a space packed with people you will never see again, looking away is the courtesy.
It's the quiet contract that lets a few hundred strangers share a tight platform without friction. You signal "I see you, you're no threat, I won't bother you." Phones slotted neatly into that ritual. They are the most convincing prop anyone has ever had for performing it.
The newspaper did the same job for a century. Subway photos from the 1920s through the 1970s show entire rows of riders vanished behind broadsheets, every face covered, nobody speaking. Radio got blamed for ending conversation. So did the Walkman. So did the cheap paperback before either of them. Each new object inherited the same eulogy: this is the thing that finally isolated us.
Connection on a subway platform was always rare. Strangers waiting for a train kept to themselves long before anyone had a screen to disappear into. The phone's real footprint is at the dinner table and in the living room, the places where idle attention used to have nowhere to go and now always does.
The behavior in this photo is a hundred years old. The object in everyone's hands is the only part that keeps getting replaced.
Three types of income and why you need all three.
1. Active income: Your salary. Your freelance gig. Money you trade time for. It stops when you stop.
2. Portfolio income: Dividends from stocks. T-bill interest. Money market returns. Your money working while you rest.
3. Passive income: Rent. Royalties. A business that runs without you. Money from assets you built once.
Most people only have the first one. That is why taking a month off feels like a crisis. The goal is all three. Start with active. Use it to build portfolio. Use portfolio to fund passive. That is the ladder.
Where are you on it?
When manufacturers sell a 2TB SSD, they calculate storage using the decimal system. To them, 1TB equals 1,000,000,000,000 bytes. So 2TB means 2 trillion bytes.
But your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux) doesn’t count storage that way. It uses the binary system, where 1TB (technically 1 TiB) equals 1,099,511,627,776 bytes.
So when your OS converts those same 2 trillion bytes into binary units, it shows:
2,000,000,000,000 ÷ 1,099,511,627,776 ≈ 1.8 TB
It’s just two different measurement standards fighting each other.
On top of that, a tiny bit of space is also used for file systems, formatting, and system metadata, which makes the number look slightly smaller again.
The Holy Bible contains 63,779 cross references.
It was written by 40 different authors, over a span of 1,500 years. It was written on 3 different continents, and in 3 different languages.
Are we to believe that these men were time travelers and were somehow communicating with each other to “keep up the lie”?
If one author had written The Holy Bible, it would be a feat of epic proportions. The author would be known as the greatest composer in history.
This is 40 different men. Spread across a millennia and a half. They did not have the means or ability to “conspire” to concoct a lie.
How many coincidences before mathematically impossible?
If it is all a myth, then why bother with the cross references? Surely you wouldn’t want those because they prove the improbability of the Bible being written by anything other than divine inspiration.
The Holy Bible was indeed inspired by one author.
The Father.
