After an incredibly surreal night at the #CSJAwards2024 I'm finally back home and feeling humbled. Thank you so much to @csjthinktank for honouring us at @NewBeginningsGM with such a prestigious award. For hearing the stories of our families all night and helping us do the work!

Also today I learned when he was nominated for student of the year last year we were both invited to a meal out. Which he didn't tell me about because he didn't want to go. Bless him.

This so shockingly sad to hear. Society Inc trained me to become a peer mentor for @NewBeginningsGM without that I doubt I'd have had the skills or confidence to push for a job with New Beginnings and be who I am today. Well wishes and all the best to you all x

@rebeccakey14 My partner showed me the video today, and we cannot wrap our heads around it. They were there to protect her, they asked her to take the pan off the stove, and they murdered her for doing as she was asked. There are no words in any language that do the anger felt justice!

@AFrazerWicks I made it about 6 months ago. It's why I pushed for @NewBeginningsGM to have it's own building, a neutral, safe space for our parents where they can come and do keywork rather than feeling exposed and afraid in their own homes. - Now our parents have just that, their own space.
