I have what I believe is the most sophisticated skill library for doing fundamental-based long/short equity investing using AI agents anywhere in the world.

It’s a collection of over 100 very fleshed-out skills that each include assets (similar to worksheets that the agents can fill out when relevant), scripts, and deep reference files. But it’s a lot more than that.

It’s a coherent, cohesive, synthetic SYSTEM of modular and composable skills that form a hierarchy of abstractions.

You have skills that apply universally to any stock; those are Level 1. For instance, a management alignment skill.

Then you have sector/industry skills, Level 2, like regulated electric utilities, restaurants, or hospitals, to give just a few examples.

Then you have more specialized skills that apply more narrowly, like for liquidations or spinoffs.

And even more narrowly to specific scenarios, like commodity-exposed companies that are temporarily and unsustainably over- or under-earning.

The skills are interconnected, with logic explaining when and how to “hand off” to another, more specialized skill. Each skill forms a contract that specified what it takes as input and generates as output.

And the skills are all tightly interwoven with my universal cli tool, hfdt (hedge_fund_data_tool) and my ee (eidetic_engine_cli) structured memory tool.

The hfdt tool connects to tons of different data sources and provides a highly agent-intuitive interface for retrieve and processing data of all kinds.

I’ve mined from dozens of my own writeups and models from a decade of working at hedge funds including Millennium and Balyasny, and from many other sources.

These skills truly contain a massive amount of knowledge about the world and about investing.

I'm joining @OpenAI to work on Codex!

I think there are still a ton of great things to build on both mobile and desktop and there's no better team pushing that frontier than the Codex team.
I'm super humbled and excited to be working with @ajambrosino @Dimillian @pvncher and a lot of other people I can't wait to meet!

Now I just have to figure out how and where to hide the cats

@thsottiaux It’s a great app and it made me switch to the pro plan. I’d say it needs more handoff features from iOS to PC and vise versa. The iOS app in general needs an overhaul. Make codex insanely powerful for knowledge work. Specific skills catered towards that and it’s over.

I don't know what they are doing over there, but Codex will continue to be available both in the FREE and PLUS ($20) plans. We have the compute and efficient models to support it. For important changes, we will engage with the community well ahead of making them.
