Test passed succesfully! 🛰️
Today we're showing the final deployment test of our UCAnFly’s antenna, a key mechanism that will allow the satellite to establish communication with ground stations and begin transmitting data once it is in orbit.
Our teammates Celia and María attended the “Symposium on Space Education Activities” (#SSEA), held in Munich and co-organized by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Technical University of Munich (TUM) 🌌
Here they go! Our antennas are successfully installed on the rotor system.✅
Last week the ground station team focused on setting up both Yagi antennas on the rotors. After that, an inspection on the system was performed with great results!✨
∑yndeo-1 and ∑yndeo-2 are CubeSat Carrier missions (these missions are also known as CSC 1&2), despite being the size of a shoebox the two satellites launching on Vega #VV23 🚀 tonight hold seven 7️⃣ experiments in total:
●A Star Tracker for Nanosatellites from Solar MEMS Technologies to determine a satellite’s position and orientation
●A CubeSat attitude determination and control system called Arcus ADCS, from Arcsec
●An arc-second accurate CubeSat-tailored star tracker called Sagitta
●RADIOX: Radiation effects during In-Orbit flight Experiment – a payload from @KU_Leuven with support from @CERN.
●Spacepix Radiation Monitor, based on @CERN technology
●A low-frequency noise characterisation towards the magnetic measurement feature for @ESA’s future LISA mission, developed by a team from @univcadiz
●A plasma jet pack, based on novel vacuum arc physics for electric propulsion, using solid metal as a propellant

Tonight, the first payload from @univcadiz will be placed in orbit aboard the Vega flight #VV23 funded by @EU_Commission with the support of @ESA.🚀 This instrument is a crucial step towards magnetic diagnostics in future space-borne gravitational wave detectors. @LISACommunity
👏👏 El nanosatélite ‘ @UCAnFly_ES ’ supera con éxito la fase de diseño de la @esa gracias a su solidez y trabajo de ingeniería.

One step closer to space ✨
🏆 The @univcadiz@UCAnFly_ES team has recently completed a long series of tests of their #CubeSat, including the Delta Critical Design Review and Environmental Test Campaign, as part of the Fly Your Satellite! programme.
🚀 #Students are now looking forward to producing and launching their small satellite to space... and so are we!

Ladies and gentlemen, we have passed the Delta Critical Design Review. We did it! 👏
Thank you so much @ESA__Education and @esa for your guidance to achieve this milestone. We will continue working hard to make our #cubesat fly and operate from space. 👇

Congratulations to the @UCAnFly_ES team from @univcadiz for qualifying their #CubeSat for flight readiness! 🛰️ The #students successfully completed the mechanical and thermal tests as part of our Fly Your Satellite! Programme 🎉 Read the full story 👉https://t.co/oXMcLqj9ou
Cadiz Crew brings the heat! 🌡️ The @UCAnFly_ES#student team from the University of Cadiz, Spain, just aced their payload vibrations and thermal-vacuum tests as part of ESA Academy's Fly Your #Satellite! Programme. Well done! 👏 https://t.co/3IavY2iGJl
Space engineering just got closer for the @UCAnFly_ES student team! 🛰️ Their #CubeSat payload is about to undergo shake and thermal-vacuum tests, taking it one step closer to flight readiness. Go UCAnFly!✨ Discover how to launch your own #satellite👉 https://t.co/QRswmA7BfT
Yesterday we had our 20th Status Update Meeting with @esa and @ESA__Education. Time flies! We are learning so much thanks to this priceless opportunity. We've had our hard times and perhaps those times will come again, but everything is being worth it ! Happy Spring break folks!
