People exactly like Zohran have been in charge of our urban centers for decades and their policies are the very the reason we have a housing/affordability crisis. He’s just a more extreme & charismatic version of everything cities are already doing.

If these policies were actually going to make cities more affordable, it would have happened already. And voting for more of what hasn’t worked, only with a young smirking face on it, is suicidal.

But we have to remember that Zohran isn’t running up actually fix any of this. He’s running to collapse the system. He wants everything to break down because that’s his real opportunity.

Once the landlords are all bankrupted due to rent freezes and expansions of tenant protections, and affordable development becomes too expensive for private interests to pursue (we’re already basically there), and nobody can afford anything anymore, the government will move in to sweep up all the resulting foreclosures at rock-bottom prices and socialize housing entirely.

Now the government is everyone’s landlord and the government doles out housing as it sees fit. And THATS when things really get bad.

This is the actual plan. This is what they want in the long term, and five minutes worth of research into what these people actually say in an academic setting will dispel any myth that they’re trying to fix our system. They hate our system and want it destroyed.
