Environmental change as in infrastructure or development of rural areas is likely to affect migration flows in several ways. More decent rural jobs, less #migration of people especially the #youth.

The quest for better lives & better livelihoods options leads to #migration. Invest massively in deprived communities to stop women/youth from going out. Kudos to #FAO for supporting commuities in the creation of jobs for #women & #youth.

Creation of decent rural employment is a step in the right direction as it will help reduce #distress migration especially the youth. However, the challenge of the lack of basic infrastructure must also be addressed.
