On this day in 2011, We launched @SAADO_SSD, a National Humanitarian and Development Org. 12 years later, the organisation, through the help of its vibrant team, supportive communities and generous donors, have built over 40 schools across the #SouthSudan enrolling and graduating about 1 million children, Trained & graduated over 10,000 youths with various vocational skills, provide relief assistance to over a million vulnerable folks annually, restoring dignity among the destitute by Protecting and enhance livelihoods Through agribusiness supports and support to youth and women SMEs, Preventing and responding to GBV including influencing behavioral change and contribution to national policies. #HappyBirthdaySAADO #SSOT #WorldPeaceDay
In the nineties, Elijah Manyok Jok escaped the war in #SouthSudan and fled to Kenya, where he received @WFP school meals.
He joined the organization as an adult and later he set up his own NGO.

Today Hon. Aya Warile, Min. of Gender, Child and Social welfare supported by UNDP launched Women Arise For Peace and Development in South Sudan (WAPDSS) consortium, formed by 12 National Women-Led Organizations to campaign & advocate 4 rights of women, girls, youth & children 🇸🇸.
#ILC2023 closed with the adoption of a new Recommendation on quality apprenticeships.
Delegates also adopted conclusions on a just transition and labour protection.
