Stress shortens your DNA. But one state can repair it. And it's not sleep. At the ends of your chromosomes are protective caps called telomeres. They prevent DNA from fraying. Every time a cell divides, telomeres get shorter. When they're too short, the cell dies. Scientists discovered something shocking: stress speeds up this clock dramatically. Elizabeth Blackburn won the Nobel Prize for discovering telomerase — the enzyme that repairs telomeres. For years, scientists believed it worked only in stem cells. They were wrong. Your mental and emotional state directly affects telomerase activity. Stress suppresses it. You don't age from time. You age from your state. A University of California study found that mothers caring for chronically ill children had telomeres equivalent to someone 10 years older than their peers. Stress literally cuts years off your life at the DNA level. Here's the most important part: Blackburn discovered that meditation increases telomerase activity by up to 30%. Not exercise. Not supplements.
Mental stillness.
In my experience, this is unfortunately not surprising. That’s why I’ve been making a conscious effort to avoid relying on ChatGPT for all of my needs, even though it’s a struggle.
BREAKING: MIT just completed the first brain scan study of ChatGPT users & the results are terrifying.
Turns out, AI isn't making us more productive. It's making us cognitively bankrupt.
Here's what 4 months of data revealed:
(hint: we've been measuring productivity all wrong)
Below is an excerpt from the petition submitted to the California Supreme Court on April 29th from the State Bar of California.
Maybe when making that decision (in the excerpt), they should have updated the Supreme Court, since in the initial petition to the Supreme Court, it was stated that only Kaplan questions would be used. That's what the Supreme Court agreed to!
As I said in an earlier post, and I stand by it, this could be considered a misrepresentation or fraud upon the Court.
Feeling the beat of IP this #WorldIPDay! 🎶Today, I had the time of my life attending @womeninmusicorg LA’s Shop Talk at The Village Studios! Stepping into the rooms where some of my favorite songs were made felt surreal. Grateful for music, creativity, and the journey. @WIPO
Few are going to claim that apologies aren’t appreciated when offered by those who administer the bar exam. Better to admit error, of course. But what apologies don’t do is change in any way the consequences of the mistake.
When a student in California doesn’t pass a bar exam in February, it means the earliest that student will get licensed to practice law is 9 months after that February exam. That’s if they pass the next one.
Nine months is a long time to not be licensed to do your job. My only point is that it’s important to understand the extent of the problem here when bar exams aren’t administered with minimum competence.
@JosephPatrice@BarExamTutor I respectfully disagree. This was not my first bar exam and I’ve come across thousands of MCQs/MBEs during prep & the exam, and the number of times I found a question to be ‘straight-up gibberish’ during the previous administration was negligible compared to F25.
@JosephPatrice@BarExamTutor As an F25 taker, I don’t believe a substantial number of questions were reviewed by experts. Many were poorly worded, legally inaccurate, and barely read like English, forcing us to decipher meaning rather than apply legal reasoning. Some had multiple correct answers or none.

“A spokesperson for the California Supreme Court said justices did not learn that the state bar had relied on artificial intelligence to write some of the February exam questions until they saw an email sent to applicants Monday night.” https://t.co/hIMcTJdaaS
What. A. Complete. Disaster.
This does nothing to assist those affected in February, and now the Cal Bar won't be able to stay within its proposed budget. It was close to broke, and the remote test was meant to prevent it from going from close to broke to broke.
@BarExamTutor So were the February applicants just people who paid 900-1700 for the pleasure of being guinea pigs ? They took a group of applicants with a lower pass rate (mostly retakers) and subjected them to brand new mcqs and tech failures just to immediately fold? Pathetic
Interestingly, the primary reason the California Bar partnered with Kaplan is because the NCBE doesn't allow for remote exams. If the exam reverts back to in person, the need for Kaplan pretty much ends.
