UHN is grateful and honoured to have called Dr. James Till, one of the fathers of stem cell science, a valued member of TeamUHN.
His many colleagues and students continue their work in his legacy, furthering stem cell science and cancer research, and improving patient care.
UHN marks the passing of Dr. James Till, whose work with Dr. Ernest McCulloch first demonstrated the existence of blood-forming stem cells in 1961 at Ontario Cancer Institute, now Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
His work has helped launch the field of #stemcell science.
