17 days since I was able to regain possession of the apartment after being illegally locked out from April 3rd-25th. Upon entry, this is how the landlord left the apartment to me and still as I type this, the condition remains the same. Called Inglewood code enforcement department for an appointment.
They came out, were shocked, called their supervisor to come and see this. Supervisor came by and pretty much said "Sorry, but we aren't doing a damn thing about this." Tried giving me the runaround about how I shouldn't be here and trying to put me down by rewording the laws I cited to him about tenancy rights with "squatting laws" and advised me to pack up abd leave.
The job of code enforcers is not to tell anyone about their housing status, whether or not I deserve to be here in the apartment. They are to cite the landlord for having a uninhabitable living condition in your unit. That's all. Nothing more, nothing less. The fact that he tried talking down to me and not doing his job is a telltale sign that the landlord has "some juice" with either the supervisor that come down and/or someone else from the same department as long as other areas. A week prior to the appointment, someone from this very department called my girlfriend and harassed her. These people didn't have my girlfriends number or information. Only the landlord was able to have given that information. When my girlfriend asked the lady who sent her, she started stuttering right before clicking.
I need some help here. For anyone out there that knows someone or can do something to help me with this, please reach out to me. This is so far beyond anything I thought I would be dealing with. I have to wash my dishes in the bathroom sink or bath tub.

If you have ever received anything like this, don't freak out. This is just a scare tactic. I received this on Sunday and you know what I'm going to do about it, not a damn thing. Pretend like this was never given to me and carry on with life. Unless it is an Unlawful Detainer from the courts, then I will pay attention and act on it right away because the response window is very short.
Seriously, always ask a tenant rights attorney or non profit group before acting on it and thinking it is real. That's the last thing you want to do if you don't know what you're dealing with.

@JDefrocourt@Nguri__@grok@grok What became of this video since it went viral? I'm sure that the driver sued the hell out of the officers involved and the police station, right? Unless he died or is in a comma. Can you shed light on every single person involved in the video and where are they at now?
tried telling me that California law doesn't supercede Inglewood Municipality in regards to a refrigerator being mandatory. I was then on hold while they made sure to correct their statement and they did but to not be up to date with these laws and you work for code enforcers?
Just got off the phone with #Inglewood#codeenforcers and the penalties are ridiculous. No wonder why #landlords and #managers can be #slumlords in this city because there isn't any real punishment. Got off the phone with someone from the code enforcers department and they
for it is more than 30 days since you guys signed off an EOP without any notice and I fall under #ADA and no accomodations were made at all. I had to call to find out that just a week earlier I was taken off #Section8 without any notice or reason.
#Uninhabitable living situations are nothing to joke about. Coming home to no #fridge is what city #codeenforcers love to write up landlords for. As a matter of fact, it is the #law that the landlord must pay for and require all units to have a working stove and refrigerator.
I'm not sure if it is for the #city or county of Los Angeles or if it is a #state#law for Californians.
Also to have electric wires and cords not properly sealed and covered is a huge no no and can be life or death like what I'm having to deal with. @HACLA1938 look into my case
help other than 3 people who one of them was my grandmother nonetheless. This is what an #Inglewood#slumlord looks like and man was it a good feeling to have the #cops tell you not to worry about breaking into your own home even if anyone sees and they were right.
So, after about a nearly almost 25 days of straight hell due to an #illegaleviction#illegal#lockout by the landlord, I was finally able to get back inside my apt. From it being a normal standard unit with the basic needs and minimal devices like Wi-Fi, a computer, television
level of inhumane I can't comprehend for very few #landlords are this disgusting and it wasn't just me, it was my 75 year old grandmother that also got ran out along with my girlfriend. I wasn't kidding when I posted the prior videos asking for help. I received literally zero

It is really messed up how there are #resources to help #lowincome people but majority of these resources don't really do much or at least I haven't seen it. There should be an #audit at the very least to verify and see how the #funds are actually being used. Honestly.
