According to a new report, all this and much more in Cardiff could be underwater by 2050. The report says that young people will have to keep climate change in mind when finding a place to live.

Sat in Morrison's café and spotted Viridor lorries going back and forth over the bridge. I wonder what is in the back of the full one, ready for burning? And how much could have been recycled? And where did it come from? Guess what colour the lorries are.... Green! As if!
“I’m supporting campaigners in the east of Cardiff who oppose a planned new incinerator... With an existing #incinerator near Cardiff Bay... this is an area of concern for many people locally” @SDoughtyMP

We’re all full of it.
Air pollution, that is.

So, the incinerator is already half full of domestic recycling that hasnt been seperated by residents, the rest is made up of 3/4 recycling not separated out by businesses. Sorry, but FFS, pre-sort should be mandatory, we shouldn't have to go to court to make a case for it.
Landfill vs incineration: what’s best for leftover plastics? The article is from 2018 but just as relevant today. #skyfill#efw#pollution https://t.co/kKtEx3XqrJ
#Senedd21 incineration & landfill needs to stop. It has always been madness, as you’re burning & burying valuable resources, that have come at a huge environmental cost, to cost us again.
Introduce #DRSCymru, plus stop it at its retail source. https://t.co/lEXHrf9G7o
New report raises concerns that by focussing their attention on the mass of particles released by incinerators, instead of the number of particles released, the Government is failing to do their utmost to protect the public.

Research found that air pollution can get into fetal placentas that the mothers have breathed in from polluted air, even with low levels of pollution.

Incinerators release an average of around 1 tonne of CO2 for every tonne of waste burned. New report highlights misleading statements by the Government about their health dangers 👉 https://t.co/dZB8Jsn90V

And so the medical evidence keeps building. We have to ban all forms of burning. Be it wood in the home, or the massive incineration plants that blight our country. There are zero pollution thermal processes to dispose of waste (inc. plastics) available right now.
“Recent studies from London and our work in a medium-sized community in southern Germany show there really is evidence that the ultra-fine particles go beyond the lungs,” @who_urbanhealth @guardian https://t.co/np2SySAyTG
