A WIN FOR LOCAL PEOPLE!!!!!!
The AMEY Cespa giant incinerator appeal has TODAY been DISMISSED by the planning inspectorate and the Secretary of State for housing and communities. Our full statement -> https://t.co/OULyxfRwyZ
We already have a group of concerned community members, but don't just let those few speak for the many. A real show of hands is needed tonight.
It's not too late.
The Public Evening Session is tonight, join fellow residents as we rally as one voice.
If this subject has touched you in some way of the last few months, this is the time to stand up and be heard.
Your presence at tonight's session will help unify all our concerns.
The evening public session starts tomorrow at 6 pm.
HAVE YOUR SAY. BE HEARD.
Support your community, friends and future at this incredibly important meeting.
A big THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us with donations towards the cost of the appeal. Since our last update, we have reduced our milestone by almost HALF!

@lucyfrazermp we've sent you two very important emails regarding the recent inquiry. Would you be kind enough to take a look at them? Your office auto reply mentioned they may not be read at the moment but there is a time factor with our correspondence 🙏🏻
FACT: All incinerators pose considerable risk to the health and environment of neighbouring communities as well as that of the general population.

FACT: Municipal waste is non-renewable, consisting of discarded materials such as paper, plastic and glass that are derived from finite natural resources such as forests that are being depleted at unsustainable rates.

The public inquiry opened today into the proposed #incinerator at #waterbeach@JamesBullLabour was there to express support for local campaign group @NO2incineration, a facility that is opposed by the local community and has already been rejected by the council. #GE2019
If you wish to speak to represent yourself or a group, you or a proxy should attend on 5th November to make your request or email [email protected]. Inquiry length to be determined and the Inspector may arrange an evening session if people request.
Incinerators have no place in a zero carbon world @GreenJennyJones In 2016 waste incinerators officially accounted for 10.5 million tonnes of greenhouse gases and total is going up fast https://t.co/coXVyYiQMM
A BIG thank you to everyone who has donated so far. We a small stepping stone to reaching our goal and being able to afford that professional witness for the appeal later this month!

Recycling and composting can save up to 5 times the amount of energy produced by burning waste.
Incineration is happening right now in the UK, in our countryside. Click to change > https://t.co/d6YmUYVxNC

Families in Switzerland pay directly for every kilo that goes to landfill.
The opportunities to recycle however are numerous.
It's the longest culture of recycling in Europe.
#CBWIN#CBWINfacts
It's possible that 90% of the waste in our black landfill bins could be recycled.
Some reports suggest that there are only 10 years of space for landfill left.
If we get on top of our recycling this would extend to 100 years, time to develop new alternatives.

@pippaheylings Parliamentary candidate for SE Cambs, spoke out against the planned incinerator earlier this week.
It's important to us that environmental and community issues such as this are not overlooked in the current political climate, thank you 📿
