Once again, just looking for small, insignificant things which aren’t rare to bash the club about.
Why are we bashing the club for making revenue to invest? Didn’t fans want that?
You can find the quotes online anyway.
Xabi Alonso’s interview was good. Big emphasis on being together as a club and fans to deliver success. Something which some fans clearly aren’t wanting to do lately.
Alonso mentioned how the culture that is created at Cobham will make us go to any stadium with belief we can win. There was an emphasis on being strong at home.
Hard work was pointed out several times, how everything a player does is not for himself but for the benefit of the overall team.

🚨 JUST IN: Chelsea and Manchester United are progressing in talks for the sale Andrey Santos. #CFC seeking £50m. Talks now formally underway between clubs. (@MikeKeegan_DM) https://t.co/SfO9QLGuxu
@CFCDaily Chelsea fans went through Didier asking to leave after 1 season, JT wanting to go to City, Lampard talking to Inter and Hazard talking about Madrid every year.
They all stayed and performed. So why should 1 Enzo interview force him out?
🚨 🇫🇷 Chelsea keep pushing for Lacroix behind the scenes but we need to be patient. Crystal Palace say they’ll only let him go if they find a replacement and also the fee is right. (@FabrizioRomano)

Whether it is or isn’t a red to Balogun is now irrelevant. Government interference is a violation of FIFA Article 2 & 15, and the punishment is disqualification and suspension. #FIFAWorldCup
I was just reading about this. To me, it makes matters considerably worse.
The issue is no longer simply whether the original red card was justified. It is whether FIFA has undermined the integrity of the World Cup, and its own authority as the global regulator of football, by appearing either to invent a procedure or, at the very least, to apply its rules in a wholly unprecedented way, against a backdrop of acknowledged political pressure, while refusing to give reasons and seemingly leaving the decision with no meaningful avenue of challenge.
As someone committed to sporting integrity, transparency, fairness and the rule of law in sport, if the reports of what has happened are accurate, I find this deeply troubling.
For years I have represented players and others facing lengthy bans for betting offences where there has been no suggestion whatsoever of match manipulation, because the governing bodies, including FIFA, have consistently argued that preserving confidence in the integrity of the sport requires robust and uncompromising enforcement.
If that is the standard expected of participants, the regulator itself must be held to at least the same standard. If the reports are accurate, this decision, and the consequences for FIFA, could prove to be truly seismic, eclipsing the controversy about the red card itself.

BREAKING: Flo Balogun cleared to play vs. Belgium. RBFA appeal denied. US Soccer informed by the RBFA that they will contest Balogun’s eligibility after the game if selected.
“The Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) has received the decision of the FIFA Appeal Committee, signed by its member Mr Salman Al-Ansari, which declares the RBFA's case inadmissible and confirms the earlier decision allowing United States player Folarin Balogun to play.
To date, the RBFA has still not received any grounds for this decision, nor has it received the information it has been requesting since the start of this procedure id est a copy of the decision and the motivation declaring the player eligible as well as the referee's report. Which is a breach of FIFA regulations.
“The RBFA has informed the United States Soccer Federation that it contests the eligibility of the player, should the player be listed on the referee's team sheet.
“This leaves all further actions open.”
