Proud that New York is one of 12 states suing to stop Paramount's acquisition of Warner Bros.
This is not a merger that serves the public. It would hand one company nearly a third of the movies and cable channels Americans watch, raise prices for streaming and cable, endanger the livelihoods of thousands of New York artists and entertainment workers, and threaten to shutter theaters across our city.
New York's workers helped build this industry. They should not be sacrificed for the sake of further corporate consolidation.
PLEASE watch My Adventures with Superman on HBO Max. Jack Quaid from the Boys voices Superman in an anime styled Superman show and it’s easily one of the most underrated shows I’ve ever watched
@fulltimeseagull What upsets me is when it comes from people who pretend to care about art going "Eermm but this one made me cringe a little tho, so it doesn't count!"
Since when did so many folks become so discouraging to people who just want to make cool shit?
I like seeing the more mundane stuff, I like the slice of life aspect, I like seeing other characters meet and or interact with eachother (not fionna and phelix), I don’t think the episodes are boring, I like seeing backstories. I like knowing the world is still inherently magic
Just saw someone saying using the em-dash is a sign of something being written by AI, because real people rarely use it. This is terrible news for everyone like me who has an unhealthy emotional attachment to the em-dash.
everyone talking about how LA is all rich people need to watch this. we're talking about real people with families and communities, that have built up a home over decades filled with love. these fires have destroyed so many homes just like this.
Look Back is a generous & vulnerable work of art. It vibrates with Oshiyama's animation vigor & emotional delicacy, it resonates in our time & moment not because it's manufactured to matter, but because in its every breath, line & movement it has clearly stayed true to itself. -
The goal of 1937's SNOW WHITE was to prove that moving drawings could captivate audiences as powerfully as live actors, and they succeeded. No disrespect to the crew of this new version, but cartoons don't need to be validated by live-action remakes. They're perfect as they are.
This is a short clip I'm reposting from Trigger Workshop
Non animators will probably only see this as a simple line but it's about understanding the initial force in a movement and how it affects the rest of the body.
Its called the Wave principle
Yoh Yoshinari heavily uses it
