I think Messalina and Silius were hoarders, and that's part of the trinket shame. They would hoard wealth during the dark days and obviously that would have been seen as a huge no no because the rest of the capitol were rationing

So many fandoms these days have an issue with the concept of inference. No. A character doesn’t need to bluntly say something for it to be canonical when you can read the source material and make an inference that it is canonical.
