10% suffer fall-related injuries
Physical: fractures, head injuries, lacerations, bleeds
Psychological: anxiety, inactivity, isolation, disability

2⃣ Who?
Prior fall #1
Decreased balance, strength, mobility
Orthostatic hypotension
Visual deficit
Neuropathy
Cognitive impairment
Psychoactive meds
Environmental hazards
Chronic diseases like Parkinson’s & CHF

3⃣ How?
Exercise focusing on balance, strength, mobility
2-3 times per week x 12 months
Deprescribing of offending meds
± Multifactorial intervention in selected cases
