Grade 6 students @HetheringtonPS participated in the Switcheroo workshop with Mr. Craig. They learned about phantom energy and then were tasked with creating a switch. They worked through the afternoon and some were successful! @Mrs_hamzology
@RelayEducation visited the grade 6 classroom @HetheringtonPS this week. Students enjoyed interacting with Jessica and Allison through technology while learning about wind turbines and electricity. Students especially enjoyed the experiments. @Mrs_hamzology

Students in grade 6 @HetheringtonPS are getting their kilometres in for our Walk A Day in My Shoes Challenge and enjoying the first snowfall of the season at the same time. Some students saw a deer and what looks to be an otter. We also discovered evidence of beaver!

Grade 6 students @HetheringtonPS had fun discovering the relationship between the area of a rectangle and the area of a parallelogram. There were lots of “ ah-ha” moments!
