I see this too, so I help people "interrupt" this cycle. Change is made in small increments, collaboration with clients. #mentalhealth#changetheresponse

The most common mental health symptom I see in my patients is behavioral frozenness. You want to do something that you clearly have the capacity to do, and instead you stare at pointless screen content you're incapable of shutting off, or otherwise waste time, indefinitely.

I'd wish people a peaceful Christmas/some rest and/or some time off but I am not sure who on here wants peace, respectfully. Make yourself known! Take offence if you want to - see below #mentalhealth
For everyone who has loads of tabs open on their computer, keep only the ones open you are actually using. Multi-tasking is severely overrated! #mentalhealth
This week’s game-changing “Dare to Lead” with @amishijha was a deep dive into focus, attention, and the myth of multitasking. Plus, I got to ask questions for a “friend,” like, Why does watching reruns of “Law & Order” help me code data and write? https://t.co/lurMmFoPq7
A reminder about perfectionism: trying to control and predict every situation/person/event is a miserable exercise that erodes well being. Standards, yes. Perfectionism, no. It is the enemy of well-being! #mentalhealth
@coproductiveEqu I agree, choosing to live honestly is dauting but once on that path the rewards are immense. Perhaps to begin in increments - just for today in what way can I be honest with myself in a way that moves me forward? #mentalhealth
Connection with others is good for mental health. Gossip is not a healthy way to connect. If someone is gossiping to you they are certainly gossiping about you! #mentalhealth
#InternationalWomensDay2024 Just for today at least: Do less work, to silently address that gender based pay gap, do less housework to claw back some of that disproportion, less people pleasing - that doesn't work either more of saying no! #doless#mentalhealth
Morning! Its not even 9am yet, so plenty of time to turn your day around. Ask yourself "Is today the day I torment myself with my own thoughts or turn my attention to something - anything - that can move me forward?" #mentalhealth
So what if it is the 1 March & your 2024 resolutions are distant memories? Start again! The world will still be a mess tomorrow - in many ways - but your tiny corner of it can be a little better. That's the point! #mentalhealth
