Justices K.V. Viswanathan and Alok Aradhe of the Supreme Court dismiss as withdrawn an application filed by R.S. Bharathi of DMK to get impleaded in the Karur stampede tragedy case. The judges permitted the applicant to withdraw his plea with liberty to pursue such other remedies as may be available to him. The applicant chose to withdraw the case after the judges made it clear that they were inclined to dismiss it even on merits. During the hearing, the judges wondered how could the Supreme Court be expected to regulate the visit of a Chief Minister to Karur and meet the victims. They said, a political opponent could not be allowed to implead in the pending case and turn the court into a political forum.

Or to give an engineering analogy: the DMK invented the machine. The AIADMK used the machine because it was there.

We deal with DTCP in this state. In other states, we have not built large campuses and we have no experience.

Unlike in Tamil Nadu under DMK, other states roll out the red carpet for us. If we were a foreign investor wearing a suit, the DMK would have given us respect. But we are local and I was born Brahmin so they have to hate me.

Our rural school Kalaivani Kalvi Maiyam, which provides completely free education to rural children, faced delays getting approvals from the previous government. Of course, significant money was demanded and we were told that was the only way, even if it is a completely free school.

After @TVKVijayHQ came to power, approvals have happened quickly and automatically.
