It's entirely about Genshin and any Hoyo game (Chinese company) that hires union VAs to become a Union project. You can't have that with a game as global as Genshin. US isn't the only VA market that exists

Ororon VA dm'd him and he said he didn't know that he was replacing a striking va or that a strike was happening. Japan already has AI protections for VAs so he wasn't up to date on US VA union news
