@StubHub is such a ripoff! I discovered that if I turn OFF recommended seats, I find many more listings CHEAPER than the recommended listings in the same section!!
A mantra that has defined my numerous ventures for decades, ““There is no such thing as losing. You either win or you get better.”
This story is truly inspiring!!

Every person you know (or even care for) should learn a trade during their early years. These programs include (welding, fabrication, plumbing, hvac, electrician, etc.). Kids and ADULTS are so out of tune with what is needed in today’s world of AI. I can personally tell you, the most in demand resources are those that can build, support building and work with their hands! Common sense, removing hurdles and asking the questions come from experience. If nothing else, it will guarantee a positive economic future for the ones that do so. We are building things in 🇺🇸!
Three photos below:
1. BBQ pit that I (in high school) designed, fit and welded for a competition that ultimately awarded me a AWS welding scholarship for college.
Materials:
- 36” schedule 80 pipe (spliced together because they were donated coupons by pipeline company)
- 1977 boat trailer axel and tires (modified to accommodate weight)
- 6” flat bar and various other scrap plate from local church donation.
2. Showing animals in FFA and 4H which were paid for by me working after school and weekends bailing hay, stacking lumber operating equipment, brush hogging and welding from 6th grade on. Learned hydraulics, mechanical systems, troubleshooting and time management out of necessity.
3. Teaching local kids to weld/fabricate. Passing knowledge to kids today is critically important to the success of our youth, industry and country!
This has always been one of my favorite images. You can have it great or you can have it cheap. However, cheap and great rarely, if ever, go hand in hand.

@iamrags@Skip1288 Skip is a Pirates fan Randy, you’ll have to forgive him. They’re used to full 162 game seasons of this for years. Hell, I’m a Cardinals fan and expect this for the coming season. Also, why we never hit Spring Training until the final 2-3 weeks.
Back in 2019, Alabama softball pitcher Montana Fouts would throw around cement blocks stacked on the plate to avoid throwing the ball right down the middle 🤯
@tetsuoai To be clear, we are still going to do Mars. I don’t think this change affects the time to a Mars city being self-growing by more than 5 years and it might turn out to accelerate Mars.
