9:47 - we pulled into the parking lot of our local Sureway to retrieve the syrup packet that has spilled out all over the back of the car. And child.

“You really shouldn’t have brought this pillow, mommy. It has syrup allllll over it.” 🫠

At 9:40 everyone declared they were hungry so we pulled through Wendy’s. I had a complete lapse in judgment and allowed the 6-year-old to get French Toast sticks.
I handed him a package of syrup like that was totally ok…

It was NOT ok.

Ideally, you leave for a trip like this around 4 AM, but the hubs discovered his license is missing, so we had to wait until 8 AM for the DMV to open. “We’ll leave at 9 then,” we said.

We left at 9:32.

My hubs agreed to take off work and make a trip of it. Big Bro (WFO) got to join to on a Educational Enhancement pass from school. So hubby will keep RFO (baby) & WFO while I work, and then we’ll family it up in the evenings.

So how did we get here anyway? 1. I’m not ready to fly again. Last year my return travel from this same show in NOLA was a disaster. Canceled flights, passed out 9 weeks pregnant on the new flight I begged my way onto, escorted off the plane by EMS…HARD PASS on flights for me.

2. I am back at work for two months and it’s been nonstop. I have been this one’s source of food for the last 20 weeks and five days and that’s not stopping, so where I have to go, he goes.

Today my husband, six-year-old, five month old and I are road-tripping it from Henderson, Ky. to Orlando, Fl. to attend Commodity Classic. I’ve decided to “live tweet” our trip. I know my 113 followers have been waiting for this with bated breath. 😆 #Classic23 #RoadTrip
