Going through a rough stretch lately. If anyone’s read Slippery When Metastasized or any of my books I’d love to get the word out somehow. Review, a mention, word of mouth. Slippery When Metastasized https://t.co/AvNun0ojYG
I took some months off of Twitter after I learned my wife’s cancer started growing again. The horrors of my life far outstrip anything I can read or write. But I am a horror writer sometimes, and I read it too when I have the brain for it. I miss being creeped out.
Highly recommend the 1980 Xmas horror movie To All a Good Night. Sorority horror, homicidal Santa, Grendel’s mother, mad Ophelia, gratuitous sex and nudity, and a barbell curl that slits throats. These people were having fun.
At my birth mom’s house. She’s 89 and has advanced dementia. She does word puzzles for like eight hours straight with naked butt survivor reality show on the TV. Perhaps this is a great productivity hack for how I should get more writing done.
@aBookstoreGrave As badly dated as he is, I read Robert E. Howard’s short story “Pigeons from Hell” at age 10 and knew I wanted to try and write spooky stuff. Pigeons don’t sound scary but that story creeped me out in the best way.
@SammyTotep I want to say we met when she was still alive but maybe less than a year before. I wish Kara and I could have hung out with you both. I have this sense we might have really connected.
