Families deserve education options that last
@CharlesCaulkins: #Florida's education marketplace is working. This lawsuit would shut it down.

Revenge is a dish best served cold. For years, academics and reporters have portrayed Florida as a state plunging rushing toward illiteracy and bankruptcy. It was just ranked as the number one state for education and the economy. https://t.co/EzIHMhJZiT...
As I mentioned at all meetings this budget cycle, as property values soared, keeping the mill rate the same was NOT acceptable to me. I voted “no” on this years millage. In my heart, I believe a millage rate cut was in order! I will continue to advocate throughout the year to find ways to reduce costs and hopefully bring some relief to Broward Taxpayers next year. @browardinfo
Tomorrow is the last budget workshop. Broward’s first budget HEARING to set the tax rate will be Sept 7 at 5pm. As stated, I will push to lower the rate. Let’s give taxpayers a break. Prop values up 11%, all economic engines doing well. Lowering the rate will help with affordability giving taxpayers some relief.
