The whole country is slipping into a state of housing insecurity. We need to be inventive and brave. We need to show up for people. We also need to listen to concerns from building owners to ensure we take the best path forward. But one thing's for sure, we can't do nothing.
I am excited to see this legislation take effect. Hopefully it helps to genuinely push against displacement and gentrification, preserving housing access while minimizing harmful impacts on good actors in real estate.
