#DidYouKnow the first attempts at human kidney transplantation were by French surgeon Mathieu Jaboulay inserting an animal kidney into a patient's elbow crease, in 1906.

Later Ukrainian surgeon Yurii Voronoy would try to transplant a human kidney into a patient's thigh, in 1933.
