@ThomasSowell Unfortunately democrats Figured out that it made it easier to expand their fraud. Now you just go online to apply for your welfare, Medicaid, immigration etc. If the government just rubber stamps any and all applications then you can expand your scheme at tax payers expense
@greendragonhq Good for you. Now leave us alone. See, y’all can’t do it. You constantly claim that blue is better than red, but all your policies have to be mandatory across all states.
@lisakwildman @micah_erfan So you prove my point. You think the states and localities can’t run special needs programs without the bureaucrats in DC making the rules. How does it make sense to tax someone, send those dollars to DC, have it get diluted, just so the states can beg for part of the money back?
@TexasForTruths @the_transit_guy That makes the most sense for a proposal that makes no sense. If you just go SA-HOU-DAL then no way it works. I’d rather drive the 4 hours to Dallas and still have my own car when I get there. Going through the college towns makes it an option for students. But still not viable
@JohnHardyPepper@SaraForTexLege She has to take a complex issue, place all blame on one side simply because the president was a republican and then try to connect it to a completely different issue with the only similarity is it was exactly 18 years ago, but those babies were made in 2007…so blame republicans!
@Dade512@SaraForTexLege@Weldryt But that is the fundamental difference, even with the expansion in the tax base, I don’t think that potential taxes not collected is a handout. I’d rather have a smaller slice of a bigger pie.
@Dade512@SaraForTexLege@Weldryt So you’re upset that they get a temporary reduction in the property value when the current value is dirt? Then the businesses dump millions or billions into development, thereby attracting other forms of businesses or investments, eventually leading to increased tax revenue?
@joanpjones@NGH98572213@SaraForTexLege What are y’all talking about? Not just SpaceX but billions of dollars are being invested in the Brownsville area. There are massive oil and gas projects in the area and then all the other businesses that will move in and expand.
@SaraForTexLege@Weldryt And I guess that if it’s a grift, if it’s all dirty money, If it’s all corruption and tax breaks then I’ll still vote for the ones growing our state and creating opportunities. It’s always ulterior motives right? Because the democrat grift just confiscates, doesn’t build
@NGH98572213@SaraForTexLege Again, who cares. They’re jobs. Then that person goes to the next build site. Technically my job is short term if I end up sucking at it. Same with yours. But keep seeing the negative instead of the potential.
@NGH98572213@SaraForTexLege Outer stater? And low paying jobs? His headquarters are here. I literally drive by the Tesla factory outside of Austin once a month. Is Starbase all low paying? And who cares what they pay? There are kids right now sweeping floors at Tesla that may one day run a department.
@SaraForTexLege You’re complaining about tax breaks, I want to attract businesses and jobs to our state. I want more companies to realize that Texas is the place to be headquartered. Where you can do business without roadblocks and massive tax bills to consider before you do something.
@tessa18640@AnnieForTruth You’re obviously not aware that the current health insurance system is set up because it of democrat policies and not free market principles.
