@signalnoisepub@PeterDiamandis I built a few bits, a scraper for new pub licences, medicine tracker that texts when due, leads for work automatically sent to closest person, some hw games for the kids, then just general repetitive tasks.
Really helped us!
@VraserX The lack of dialogue on wealth distribution from AI, the failure of governments to get ahead of the changes and steer directions, the lack of debate on where meaning lies without work, no meaningful trials of UBI or similar, lack of support for young adults leaving education now
@davidpattersonx I'd push back here, left, right, centre the arguments against AI all come from uncertainty.
Mapping a clear path and bringing everyone together is what we need.
If you believe in a true AI future, left and right become irrelevant. 2 sides of an antiquated coin
@davidpattersonx The issue comes if and when countries end and city states/ company settlements start to grow.
The point of a government is far from certain post-labour
@davidpattersonx Once every car is automated and contained, there is nothing stopping a much higher speed limit.
The current vehicles are too similar to traditional cars and focus on a drivers seat. I predict we'll see some big changes to layout and essentially mini rooms on wheels
@Perma_banned_me@AndrewYang@elonmusk You're thinking way to short term. Tax at a sensible rate and when the economy 10, 50 or 100x productivity the dividend is much higher.
In the meantime, pay workers full salary even as hours reduce due to AI
@UKSovereignAI So excited we're finally taking steps to ensure we take our share of the AI pie.
More important than funding is a government positive to data centres, power sources and innovative tax ideas.
@KanishkaNarayan@UKSovereignAI@Peston Urgently need to designate locations for power and data centres to maximise the UKs return on AI.
Outlines of changes to the tax system to compensate for job loses need to be published.
This revolution needs addressing now, not in the next election cycle.
