I have never heard edge explained so clearly in my life to be honest.
Had the pleasure of sitting down with @gametheorizing on the @1000xPod to record some top tier content, where he articulated exactly how to identify opportunities in the markets.
"Someone always wants to de-risk an asset they hold. They'll give up edge to secure the bag. You're always exchanging risk for expected value. Understand that primitive and you find every trade."
In 2024, Peter Thiel debated Jordan Peterson on one of the most misunderstood ideas in human history
No thinker challenges you like Thiel:
- Sacrifice is mostly irrational
- The crowd is almost always wrong
- Isaac had more faith than Abraham ever did
13 insights on sacrifice:
You need to watch Kenneth Clark’s 1969 docuseries, Civilisation. He covers the fall of Rome up to the mid 20th century. It’s 13 parts and 11 hours long, but it’s incredible.
Most of us spend years trying to change outcomes without examining the internal framework producing them.
This article gets to the root by examining and then stripping away the conditioning that keeps you from becoming fully yourself and finding your bliss.
Great read @thedankoe !
primer on the explosive appeal of @RestoreBritain_ and why the regime is utterly clueless as to what is about to happen:
the ~30-year experiment of multiculturalist welfareism has incontrovertibly enshittified Britain. everybody can see this, everybody knows this, and anybody will go to jail for wrongthink if they are too specific or too angry about why they feel this way.
every topical social issue is at least in part exacerbated by this: crime, housing, healthcare. even such superficially unrelated authoritarian spasms as the brutal suppression of free speech and normalised censorship of communication channels are pragmatically rooted in clamping down on native discontent at their newly second-class status.
not to mention it contributed to easily the most evil case of organized crime in British history, which was initially ignored by political elites but, having attained critical mass, became embraced. the Labour party over this period is best understood as a r*pes for votes scheme. the other mainstream parties seem untainted but also seem to have done nothing to stop it. literally everybody willing to do wrongthinks, even if only privately, has known about this for years, decades even, but that has historically been a very small contingent of the population. @RupertLowe10 is primarily and very nearly alone responsible for bringing it to the attention of the masses.
in the coming months this will all be forced into wider public discussion. Lowe is cunning in timing the party launch with knowing this is coming, having all too easily tricked the shitlib establishment into reactively setting up their opposing stance on the topic because "muh racism".
so there are near-term political winds, but they must be understood against the backdrop of extremely long-term trends, of which I think 2 are most important (although there may well be others).
the first is thinking seriously about where yookay is heading without a dramatic course correction. there is no pleasant way to put this; the shortest possible answer is: violence. multicultural kumbaya is a shitlib wet dream. it is not reality. it is a deliberate refusal to accept or even expose oneself to the real consequences of one's retarded communist delusions so as to justify strip mining the nation's remaining social capital for private gain. the exact path surely cannot be known but there are likely only 2 possible extremely long-term outcomes: balkanization into geographically entrenched ethnic ghettoes, the collapse of national "democracy" into periodic spats over who gets to steal more from whom else, and the disappearance of the nation as a meaningful referent, or; nativist backlash to the looming inevitability of the above and scorched earth ethnonationalism. both are horrific. at least one will happen.
of course, this is all an insane and dangerous fantasy to regime shitlibs incapable of thinking more than a year or so ahead, or of contemplating even the possibility of a downside of infinity immigrants without muh racism tripwires shutting down independent cognition.
but if you think in generations - indeed, if you are *free to think* at all - this is unavoidable. it will need to be dealt with by next year with just over 0% probability; by 100 years' time with 100% probability. the period in between? nobody knows. but with a low enough time preference, the exact path doesn't matter. only preventing the outcome does. it's unclear the needle can be threaded but it must be tried.
the second is the Vibe Shift™. now, we can acknowledge it is real without getting carried away. the march through the institutions has not even begun to be reversed. we are effectively talking about second derivatives here; we are at a civilizationally catastrophic point and the velocity isn't much to get excited about either, but the acceleration is immense. you may have noticed, but regular people will just tell the truth these days. they'll say obviously correct things without first going through the mental gymnastics of whether r*pe is really, *actually* bad in this *particular case*? maybe society made him do it? maybe it was the patriarchy all along?
no. shut up. collaborationist moron.
this could very nearly lead to a sociological theory of just about whatever you want, but in light of the above the importance to Restore is as follows:
i) "muh racism" doesn't work anymore. it has been inflated into meaninglessness, if not an ironic compliment. this opens up the possibility of threading the needle at all. it can be contemplated. it can be strategized. the tripwires have rusted away and we are free to roam in thoughtspace without self-sabotage.
ii) the alternative is violence and collapse. which is to say, there is no alternative. there is no "vote splitting" or "tactical voting". reform does not want to deport the greatest, most depraved, and most heinous criminal enterprise in the history of the nation, and they fabricated claims to attempt to bring criminal charges against the only political opponent who does. so, sorry, but there is no alternative.
these are incredibly powerful in a way that everybody following the events of the past few days instinctively recognizes, and yet which the regime apparatchiks almost literally cannot fathom. they cannot contend with the complete absence of political gamesmanship. they cannot comprehend that "what must be done will be incredibly painful". they have no doubt that enough "muh racism"s will make this all go away, and they expect just about anything in deferential response other than "I don't care". what do you mean you "don't care"? oi mate, you got a loicense for not caring?
but most of all, they cannot recognize the emergence of a schelling point for patriotic zeal. this may as well be a frequency they cannot hear.
I will end with a note of caution: none of this means restore will win, or even succeed in any minor way whatsoever. candidly, the more momentum the movement appears to be building, the more I worry for the physical safety of those involved most publicly and I question the extent to which I want to be in that camp, regardless of how obviously correct everything above is. the strip mining of the social capital of Britian is the most profitable and powerful industry in the country. it will not just roll over and die. it will go kicking and screaming to the bitter end.
but die it must, and for the first time in living memory, there is the will to go for the kill.
The next mega bubbles that will help you escape the underclass:
1. Robotics (producers & picks and shovels — what goes into production?)
2. Space (space n aliens n stuff)
3. Energy (Uranium, battery companies, etc)
4. World financialization (stablecoins)
After that it’s over, you either made it or you didn’t
@tombos21@justalexoki Isn’t “highly religious” in this context associated more with the left curve of the graph, than the right.
I.e “highly religious” would be the type of person who’d claim religion competes with science on scientific claims.
The right curve wouldn’t take it literally

This is what the war between No10 and Robbins comes down to
The PM is saying he should have been told about the UKSV recommendation.
But UKSV is one part of a bigger process that leads to a decision
Friends of Olly Robbins say that would have broken protocol if he’d passed on the UKSV judgement or any other element of the FCDO information gathering - he was banned from doing that and can only inform ministers of his / the FCDOs pass/fail recommendation
Robbins was only able to tell ministers he had passed Mandelson - nothing else

This Bank of England bond-selling row is complicated. But, be in no doubt, how it's resolved will have a huge impact on the UK's public finances, broader politics, and the lives of millions of people.
The sums involved are vast. Yet almost everyone –including practically all our politicians and, I have to say, even some members of the Bank's own Monetary Policy Committee – seem to have filed this subject under "too difficult" and "too controversial".
All the more reason to try to understand it ...
The squabble over so-called "quantitative tightening" (QT) is about to reach a head – with Reform Deputy Leader @TiceRichard meeing @bankofengland Governor Andrew Bailey later this week.
The meeting is happening because Tice wrote Bailey an open letter about QT, citing a lot of credible research and demanding answers.
My latest @Telegraph column is an attempt to explain the basics of this QT debate and why it's important, to a broad audience.
I'm outlining what I wrote in yesterday's paper in this thread.

@Aella_Girl Insane how richard heart managed how to pull that scam off and get away with it. Sad example of someone already uber wealthy and smart using it for bad... it was extremely well executed
