@Skyislandia @LoanNinja @charise_lee Exactly. Having lived in both Australia and the USA, I can confirm that in both places I paid roughly the same total tax at the same income level.

Even "low tax states" in the USA just jack up hidden taxes like sales taxes, road tolls, etc to make up the difference.
