@smerconish independent voters should not be allowed to vote in party primaries as they do nothing to build the party’s platform. Additionally there is nothing to prevent a “poison pill” from occurring where an organized campaign to switch independent could swing a party primary
@The74@gtoppo No mention of the fact that on stage she referred to AI as A1 like the steak sauce more than once? No mention that her entire focus while on stage was charter schools? No mention that her only education experience is based on her extremely affluent local school in Connecticut?
@BethanyOsborn Thanks for the in-depth coverage of the board of trustees vote on possible banning of books at the Windsor library. I’m so happy to see that common sense overruled this attempt at censorship in the name of Christian values. #dontbanbooks#bookseducate#supportlibraries
213 days since the Taliban banned teenage girls from school. Millions of girls across Afghanistan are now contemplating a life without formal education #LetAfghanGirlsLearn
Oh Florida, you’re doing it wrong if you claim accurate, inclusive education is actually indoctrination. Trying to block your children from getting a inclusive education does them and your state a true disservice.
It’s critical for scholars to see teachers who look like them. Hopefully this ongoing massive shakeup in teaching will eventually attract a broader, more inclusive cohort of future teachers.
47 people on the wrong side of history, but that’s okay she has a very long life ahead of her to make you regret your error! Congratulations Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson!!!
BREAKING: The Senate has voted 53 to 47 to confirm Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson as the 116th Supreme Court justice — securing her place as the first Black woman on the nation's high court. https://t.co/K7768f7CPU
The global #educationcrisis was estimated at 260M prior to COVID, now a staggering 400M+ still impacted by COVID; the #learningloss will be felt for generations. @hp committed to improve education outcomes for 100M by ‘25 , digital equity for 150M by ‘30 https://t.co/fAAC8qk8N1
Preventing girls from getting a full education is unconscionable and an act purely to diminish their amazing potential and power; an act of desperation. Everyone across the world deserves the opportunity for a quality #education. #afghangirlsmatter#equity https://t.co/eseNZVeQBL
No Will Smith/Chris Rock is NOT “an important conversation” we need to have. #Ukraine, LGBTQ+ rights in Florida, the global education crisis, the despicable treatment of #KentanjiBrownJackson, the #teachercrisis, and so much more ARE the conversations we should be having! #focus
Unrealistic expectations, significantly under appreciated, criminally under paid; teachers are under so much pressure to keep the wheel turning. They're unsung heroes and losing our greatest asset will dramatically impact us for decades. #Teachers#crisis https://t.co/4pa1O5EKfC
