Dear @trussliz / @RishiSunak the cost of living crisis has left millions worried how they'll make ends meet.
I'd like to formally invite you, as the new PM, to join me asap once you take office for a special hour's @itvMLshow discussion/Q&A to answer/ease people's concerns.
Brexit isn’t done.
180k Britons are dead.
40 hospitals aren’t built.
Life expectancy is falling.
Poverty is rife.
Food bank use is exponential.
The NHS is on its knees.
Inequality is worse than ever.
Teens are being sent to Rwanda.
But yeah, sure. The big calls right.
When my brother died alone from covid in the 1st lockdown, the first thing I did (after having a cry) was go to the Gov website to find out whether I could see his body & attend his funeral
That’s why it offends me that Johnson & his ministers say they didn’t know
We all did
Can we just nail another thing. People saying "was just a few drinks and some cake". OK. But that's not Boris's view. Because when his staff were found having a few drinks and some cheese, he said he was "furious", ordered a cabinet office inquiry and accepted their resignations.
One lad from Nottingham Uni had a birthday party. He was fined £10k and kicked out of Uni. His whole life ruined for a party and he's a kid. The PM does it and its let's all move on.
Does this happen to any other women?
I'll be in a group and one of the men (can be client or fellow lawyer) will say a swear word or a rude comment or something, or is about to, and then apologises SPECIFICALLY TO ME, the only woman, for it.
Always iritates me!
I get that it’s disappointing not seeing the actors you had hoped to see but PLEASE don’t message those actors to say how much they’ve disappointed you? Or ask *them* for a refund? Whilst tagging the person you DID watch in your complaint? 🥴 Just…not cool. Don’t be that person.
Three police officers went to an *elementary* school in Tennessee & arrested four Black girls.
One girl fell to her knees. Another threw up. Police handcuffed the youngest, an 8 yo with pigtails.
Their supposed crime? Watching some boys fight — and not stopping them. (THREAD)
