Happy to see two co-authored papers📄 published today as part of Global Alliance for Peace Operations collections:
1⃣ Protection of Civilians in Peace Operations
2⃣ Enhancing the Role of UN police in Peacekeeping Operations
Across the papers, we urge governments to step up their political and financial support for this unique conflict management tool. They offer concrete recommendations for adapting peace operations to new realities and pressing political, financial and operational challenges.
Grateful to @AustCivMil for invitation to speak at their 'Protection of Civilians' course in Canberra the past two days.
Terrific group of participants and speakers on most timely of topics with violent conflict, civilian targeting, and forced displacement are all on the rise📈
