Documentary film that tells the humorous, tragic & simply amazing story of Charlton Comics, Derby CT's infamous comic book company that launched legends.
Five years ago today, the project lost a galvanizing force, an inspirational partner, and a best friend. Producer, @DennisPeters passed away on this day in 2016 & there isn't a day that passes that we don't miss him. RIP my brother. You are irreplaceable.
@PaulKupperberg Just catching up on way overdue cesspool...er...Twitter stuff. OMG! Glad the operation was a success! Give a shout when you're up for hanging out! Swift recovery my friend! ♥️
@r_bartolotta @pizzapopculture It's an important part of comic book & pop culture history that's been lost. This is why we're telling the story. Thanks for dropping a line, Rob!
This morn, we lost my friend and collaborator, JOE SINNOTT—of whom I've often said "made my amateurish scribblings look professional!" He was one of comics' prime inkers for decades and a superb artist, as his recent con illustrations proved! An ICON in the ART WORLD! RIP, amigo!
It with great sorrow to announce the passing of #comics Icon & #WWII Hero #JoeSinnott at 93. He enjoyed life, his fans & was drawing until the end. Honoring his service alongside other #veterans & servicemen #VeteransDay 2016 will never be forgotten as will my friend. @USNavy
Joe Sinnott was a visionary master of art and story. From the beginning, his work invigorated an entire era of Marvel heroes, and his definitive talent will uplift our universe for the rest of time. We send our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
We are sorry to hear of the passing of the legendary Joltin' Joe Sinnott, Stan's good friend and collaborator for almost 70 years. Joe signed this photo to Stan in 2012, and Stan hung it proudly in his office.
This pencil piece by Joe Sinnott hangs in my office. I've had it since I was a kid, since my mother stood in line for it when Joe was doing sketches for everyone in the J.J. Newberry five and dime in Saugerties, NY for Christmas.
