EL-NINO UPDATE ⚠️

As we end our major monsoon rains of this season for Telangana, on expected scale, it has brought less rains for us this season as compared to last few years

GOOD NEWS FOR NEXT MONSOON 🌧️

The EL-NINO is currently strengthening with Nino 3.4 index at +2.7 anamoly, likely to reach +3 anamoly which will be RECORD BREAKING EL-NINO in last few decades

However, latest LONG RANGE FORECASTS indicate, EL-NINO to gradually reduce from February 2027 and may even reach NEUTRAL by Monsoon 2027

So definetely, Monsoon 2027, we will have GOOD RAINS especially in the second half, though first half might see lesser activity

DEEP DEPRESSION IMPACT ON TELANGANA - SEP 23-25 - UPDATE 4 ⚠️🌧️

A Deep Depression is nearing North Andhra coast and is expected to cross near Srikakulam tomorrow i.e September 23

PEAK IMPACT on Telangana will be from September 24 morning to September 25 night

Under it's influence, VERY HEAVY RAINFALL is expected in East TG (close to Chattisgarh) in BROWN marked districts during September 24-25 with few places can get upto 200mm ⚠️⚠️

RED marked districts will have MODERATE - HEAVY RAINS with few places can get upto 70mm ⚠️

Rest of the districts will have MODERATE RAINS with rainfall ranging from 20-40mm at few places including Hyderabad city

STAY ALERT, plan accordingly ⚠️🌧️

Weak LPA IMPACT ON TELANGANA - SEPTEMBER 12-14 - HEAVY RAINS ALERT ⚠️⛈️

The earlier said September 13-16 rains are now PREPONED and the impact is expected during September 11-14 with PEAK IMPACT on September 12-13. Rains are expected to reduce during September 15-17

The LPA has formed across South Odisha coast, the movement now is more Northward direction than the expected path earlier

It is expected to weaken into a UAC/Weak LPA and a broad circulation across Vidarbha is expected to bring HEAVY RAINS across Telangana

Unlike the earlier shared update, due to few changes, this time, it's not again to be PAN TELANGANA SHOW ⛈️❎

MODERATE - HEAVY RAINS and INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS are expected across RED MARKED DISTRICTS especially on PEAK DAYS of September 12-13 with few areas can recieve upto 50-70mm (Mainly North, East TG) ⚠️⛈️

Other BLUE MARKED districts including HYDERABAD and South TG will get MODERATE THUNDERSTORMS during September 12-13 with HIGHEST CHANCES are on September 12 ⛈️

Meanwhile Gadwal, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet may mostly remain unaffected due to this spell, only ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS are expected
