3 Things Every High School Athlete Should Be Doing (Not Their Parents) in my opinion:
1.Scheduling their own lessons.
2.Emailing college coaches.
3.Creating and following their practice schedule.
If thinking about foregoing the high school golf experience to play more competitive events, As a past D1 golfer, I can’t stress enough, join the high school team. Golf’s lonely, but the team builds camaraderie, leadership, and coachability skills that shine in college & beyond.
Random observations:
1. No one practices putting
2. People who warmup for their lessons are the most fun to work w/. No clue why.
3. Fades as a shot preference are making a comeback 🥹
4. YouTube makes golfers worse, not better
5. Golfers are most deficient out of bunkers
If parents thought of fun and personal growth as the rubric for their junior golfer, rather than results or leaderboard finishes, we’d have more kids playing golf and playing it well.
Your swing doesn’t need another YouTube video - it needs a range session. Less watching, more doing.
YouTube tips are like cotton candy. Sweet, fluffy, and absolutely useless after 30 seconds.
@usetheschwarz22 Hard to tell with this camera angle. Camera angle should be hands high down your toe line. That would allow for a much better diagnosis
