Prior to us leaving Boston yesterday, we made a pit stop at the Black Coaches Classic at @MadsonParkTVHS in Roxbury to check out @BostonSchools action.
The gym was packed out to see two of the best from the @MIAA033 in @WARBasketball & @Burke_MBB, who is ranked at No. 16 in the state rankings for Division II schools.
Although we were not able to see more of the game past the first quarter, we were excited to see what the high school 🏀 culture in the city of Boston is really like. It’s active, just like another city.
But the reality is, you don’t always need a Division I player, high-level or otherwise, for a good game. It’s about neighborhood rivalries, school battles. Ones that the city remember years from now.
That’s what high school basketball is all about.
