It went from a voluntary gun buy back, to armed cops at your door demanding your once legally owned firearm...
Why are the police not focused on eliminating every member of extortion gangs that shoot up homes instead?
Wouldn't that be the place to start to tackle gun crime?
Whether that date will stick is another question. The Supreme Court of Canada recently agreed to hear a challenge to the gun ban by the @CCFR_CCDAF
One of the group's founders, Tracey Wilson, told the BBC they are advising those who declared their firearms to withdraw their application pending the court's decision, which likely won't come for months.
Her group is considering an application to extend the amnesty date if the government does not do so itself.
"We're not going to wait for them to do the right thing by Canadians," Wilson said 🇨🇦

“Property rights are eroding rapidly in Canada. We’re losing property rights faster than we realize... It starts with firearm rights... They’ll start with guns. Tomorrow, your house title. That’s the agenda of ‘You’ll own nothing and you’ll be happy,” @PJTheBelt
Do YOU agree? 🇨🇦
🚨WHERE IS THE FUCKING MONEY MCKENNA?🚨
I’ll NEVER stop posting this… that bitch owes us!
How come this story has just 'disappeared' from the national conversation?
--> $187,000,000,000 !!POOF!! !!GONE!! <--
THE CANADIAN MEDIA IS 100% COMPLICIT IN *ANOTHER* LIBERAL COVER-UP.
(Make sure to tag @cathmckenna - she's blocked me for some odd reason 😜)
Stupid is what stupid does.
Stop the fake unsound political stunt pushing for something that will do absolutely nothing to prevent gun violence but your the only objective is to gain political votes.
Sad and pathetic stunt.
We’re not surprised—and we’re not sorry.
Ottawa’s gun confiscation scheme is crashing and burning, just as we predicted. After all the wasted money, all the political grandstanding, and all the empty promises, what do they have to show for it? A glitchy “declaration portal” and a pathetic 6.4% compliance rate. Even the police have said “no thanks.” Canadians know a bad idea when they see one.
Prime Minister Carney and M.P. Nathalie Provost can keep refreshing that portal, but Canadians aren’t buying it. Law-abiding firearms owners aren’t playing along—and why should they? This was never about public safety. It was always about scoring political points and punishing responsible citizens.
We’re proud to see Canadians standing up for their rights and refusing to be bullied by a broken, unworkable program. This is proof that grassroots resistance works.
Keep speaking out. Keep pushing back. And let’s keep showing Ottawa that we won’t be walked over.
